Micro Visions Celebrates Ten Year Service Anniversary with Ellyn Olney

Ellyn - Micro Visions - 10 YearsThis month marked the 10th anniversary for our Office Administrator, Ellyn Olney. Over the past ten years, Ellyn has become a respected leader at Micro Visions and the ultimate “go-to gal” for just about everything around the office. Ellyn keeps us running smoothly by handling all of the accounting, human resources, facilities management, and anything in between. She’s had at least some type of interaction with each and every client over the years, yet still finds time to make the coffee for us in the morning and stop by the bakery when somebody celebrates a birthday. It’s safe to say that Ellyn is the glue that holds our office together, and we certainly are grateful for her dedication and friendship.

Thank you, Ellyn, for all your hard work! We’re looking forward to working with you another 10 years!

What’s your favorite vacation spot?

I love being in a chair on the beach. Any beach, really.

What’s your favorite line from a movie or tv show?

Copper Boom. It’s from Gilmore girls, and it means “hurry up.” Anyone who’s spent any amount of time at my house has become very familiar with that phrase.

Tell us what 10 year old Ellyn was like.

At that point in my life, I was pretty much a tomboy. I grew up in a neighborhood where all the other kids my age were boys, so I developed a real “anything you can do, I can do better” attitude.

What is an ability you wish you had?

I wish I could run. Really run. Maybe even in a marathon.

What’s on your bucket list?

International travel. I’d really love to visit Ireland, some day. I think, perhaps, I should have been Irish.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us?

I love the original movie version of Dune. You know, the one that everyone said was terrible? Not me! I loved it.

If you wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?

There’s Still Time, Isn’t There?

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?

“Make it simple, but significant.”
