Micro Visions Securelink complete backup solutions were designed to provide maximium flexibility. In some cases the client may want a total hands-off solution; in other cases on-site system administrators may prefer to be involved.
Regardless of who does what, the process consists of installation and licensing, setup/configuration, the backup process, the secure and efficient transfer of data to the secure data center, and montiroing.
A common approach is demonstrated in the diagram below. Selected servers and workstations are backed up to a local backup store which in turn is replcated to Micro Visions' secure data center.

The backup software is installed and licensed on the local backup store as well as other selected servers or workstationss. As new versions and updates become available, they are applied automatically throughout the year.
Backup strategies are designed according to unique client requirements. There are many options availble in terms of backup types and features, encryption, compression, and other options.
Once the backkup jobs have completed, the appropriate data is replicated in full to the secure data center. Thereafter, only changed data is replicated.
Both the internal jobs are monitored for proper completion in addition to the replication process.
Restores can easily be performed using a user-friendly browser-based interface. For quick recovery, the restore will use the local backup store. If the local store is unavailable, the date may be restored from the secure data center. If a complete restore is required using the data from the remote secure data center, the data can be transported from the secure data store to your location using removable media.
“I really wanted something very reliable when it came to backups. We had been using a conventional backup-tape drive solution that required manual tape replacement, tape rotation, and off-site storage. This all demanded attention that wasn’t always paid. Securelink Backup has been a very positive experience."
